Starbucks, Camden Parkway

When attempting to create a unique design, the combination of an open mind and imagination goes a long way. In June 2014 Strata Tiles assisted Starbucks in creating their signature style at their Camden Parkway store; supplying the coffee chain with a mixture of colours, shapes and finishes to create a modernised and individual setting for employees and customers alike. To create Camden Parkway’s mix and match floor, both a natural and polished finish was used from the Dante collection (DA0008, 10×60). We supplied Starbucks with a mixture of natural and polished tiles”, explains Mark Hughes, Sales Manager at Strata Tiles. “The tiles supplied were not only the same colour but were also the same range. It’s the difference in finish which dictates the light and shade effect seen on the floor. Installing the traditional style tiles on a diagonal slant was an inspired touch. This displays both finishes to perfection.” For the walls, Starbucks Camden Parkway chose an on-trend hexagon tile for a modern twist. The white tile from the Chrous collection (SPC75) kept the colour palette neutral to promote light and space within the venue and complement their signature green features
