Slaidburn Street in Chelsea has an interesting local history, once hosting a party when Chelsea won the FA Cup in 1970 and the corner pub often welcoming the Rolling Stones for their rehearsals. It’s now a charming cul-de-sac ideally positioned for the many superb shops, bars and restaurants that the area has to offer.
The team at our Chelsea Design Studio helped a family with their townhouse refurb, the brief being a classic style with something a little bit different. The magnificent kitchen features our Leon d’Oro collection, tiles that were inspired by the original flooring in the Italian restaurant that shares the same name. Our luxury Foundry trims have been used to create a decorative edge between the Leon d’Oro and adjoining wooden floor.
Moving upstairs and the master bathroom features his and hers basins as well as a wonderful freestanding bath. We sourced a large format 1200x2600mm tile specifically for this project that would evoke a sense of luxury and warmth. The matt finish was chosen for the floors and the polished finish creates a high-gloss look for the walls.
Another bathroom within the property features our Blouche tiles in the Augustus colourway. This space has real character with the bold, floral pattern on the walls and traditional sanitaryware options.
The bold patterns continue out onto the terrace, its seating area adorned with an impactful animal print. Our Vale tiles in Taupe were the ideal choice thanks to their high slip resistance and timeless concrete effect.
“We really enjoyed working on this project,” explains Nicola, our Chelsea Design Studio Manager, “Finding tiles for each of the spaces was a pleasure and the end result is just wonderful.”
