It isn’t everyday you get to stand at a location and get a sense of history in the making. A visit to the impressive Olympic Village construction site at Stratford was one of those locations that got the hairs on the back of the neck tingling. The vast construction area in East London was transformed to host the worlds leading athletes and ready to be televised to billions of people worldwide – history literally in the making.
Flanked by the iconic Canary Wharf Towers in the distance, and surrounded by additional construction sites of the Westfield Shopping Centre and Stratford International Train Station, Strata Tiles had every reason to feel very much apart of that iconic moment in our nations history, succeeding as we have to be supplying materials to some of these Olympic venues for 2012.
A site visit with Jonathan Wiles and an informative tour of the Athlete Village by Ardmore was an amazing opportunity to see our products installed, to hear of the issues experienced getting them onsite and seeing first hand fixers working with them, as well as hearing positive feedback from the guys on the ground made it a great experience.
